Who we are
Temporary Pod Solutions (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides temporary kitchen and utility pods across the UK. We are the data controller for the personal data described on this page.
Contact: temporarypodsolutions@gmail.com · 07468416753
What data we collect
- Contact details: name, email, phone number.
- Booking/enquiry details: postcode, dates, notes you provide about your space and requirements.
- Technical basics: standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and troubleshooting.
- Cookies/local storage: we currently only use a small local storage key to remember your cookie choice (see “Cookies & local storage”).
How we use your data
- Provide our service: handle enquiries, check availability, deliver and collect pods.
- Communicate with you: respond to messages, send confirmations, and service updates.
- Security and troubleshooting: keep our services reliable and secure.
- Legal, tax and compliance: maintain appropriate records and meet legal obligations.
Legal bases (UK GDPR)
- Contract — to take steps at your request before entering a contract or to perform one (e.g., handling your booking).
- Legitimate interests — to run, improve, and secure our services in ways you’d reasonably expect.
- Consent — for any non-essential cookies or marketing (we don’t use these by default; see cookies section).
- Legal obligation — where laws require us to keep certain records.
Sharing your data
We share data only with trusted service providers acting on our instructions, such as:
- Hosting/CDN & infrastructure (e.g., website hosting, content delivery).
- Cloudflare Worker (for securely receiving your enquiry form submission).
- Email service (to receive your enquiry and reply).
We require appropriate confidentiality and security commitments from these providers. We do not sell your data.
International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses or UK adequacy decisions) to protect your information.
Retention
We keep enquiry and booking records only as long as necessary for the purposes above—typically for the duration of your hire plus a reasonable period for queries, accounting, and legal obligations. We keep cookie/local storage preferences until you clear them or we ask you to reconfirm.
Your rights
You have rights under UK GDPR, including:
- Access, rectification, erasure (“right to be forgotten”).
- Restriction and objection to certain processing.
- Data portability.
- Withdraw consent (where we rely on consent).
To exercise your rights, contact temporarypodsolutions@gmail.com. You can also complain to the UK ICO at ico.org.uk.
Cookies & local storage
We aim to run with no non-essential tracking cookies. We currently set only a simple preference using localStorage to remember that you accepted essential cookies:
| Name | Type | Purpose | Expiration |
|---|---|---|---|
tps_cookie_ok |
Local storage key | Remembers that you pressed “Allow” on the cookie banner so it won’t reappear. | Until you clear site data in your browser |
If we introduce analytics or other optional cookies in the future, we’ll update this page and request consent.
Managing cookies/storage: You can clear cookies and site data in your browser settings (e.g., “Clear browsing data”).
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No system is 100% secure, but we work to prevent unauthorised access, disclosure, or loss.
Children
Our services are aimed at adults arranging home renovations. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us and we’ll take appropriate steps.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page from time to time. We’ll change the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
