A temporary kitchen through your home insurance
Send us your insurer and claim reference number, and we'll discuss the hire with your insurer.
Kitchen out of action after an escape of water, a burst pipe, a flood or a fire? Many home insurance policies include alternative accommodation or loss of use cover, which can pay for a temporary kitchen pod on your driveway, so you can stay at home while it's repaired.

Questions
What do I need to send you?
Your name, phone number, email and home address, the name of your insurer and your claim reference number. If you have your claim handler's or loss adjuster's details, add those too.
Will I have to pay anything?
We discuss the pricing with your insurer and, where agreed, invoice them directly, so you may not need to pay anything upfront. If your insurer won't cover the pod, you can still hire it yourself at our usual prices.
Does home insurance cover a temporary kitchen?
It depends on your policy. Many include alternative accommodation or loss of use cover. We check what your insurer will cover when we contact them.
Can I stay at home instead of moving to a hotel?
Yes, that's what the pod is for. It goes on your driveway with a full working kitchen, so you can stay in your own home while the repairs are done.
How long can I keep the pod?
As long as the repairs take. There's no maximum hire, and we agree any extra weeks with your insurer.
