What we collect, why, and your rights under UK GDPR.
Who we are
Temporary Pod Solutions Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”), 99 College Road, Cranwell, Sleaford, NG34 8DN, hires out temporary kitchen pods across the UK. We are the data controller for the personal data on this page.
Contact: temporarypodsolutions@gmail.com (email us) or 07468 416753.
What we collect
- Contact details: name, email and phone number.
- Booking details: address, postcode, dates, notes and any driveway photos you send.
- How you heard about us: if you choose an answer on the quote form.
- Anonymous website statistics: when you press a button such as Call or Get a quote, we count which button and page it was, whether you're on a phone or a computer and, when you arrive, whether you came from Google, social media or somewhere else. We keep only daily totals: never your IP address, your name or anything you type, and no cookies are used for this. If your browser sends a "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" signal, nothing is counted.
- Technical basics: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security.
- Local storage: one small setting that remembers you've seen our cookie message.
How we use it
- To reply to enquiries, check availability, and deliver and collect pods.
- To send confirmations and updates about your hire.
- To keep our website safe and working, and to see which pages and buttons help people (anonymous totals only).
- To keep the records the law requires, such as for tax.
Our legal reasons
- Contract: to arrange and carry out your hire.
- Legitimate interests: to run and protect our business in ways you'd expect.
- Legal obligation: where the law says we must keep records.
Who we share it with
Only trusted providers who act on our instructions:
- Website hosting.
- Cloudflare, which securely receives your quote form.
- Our email provider.
When you visit our website, your browser also loads a few things from outside services. They receive your IP address and basic browser details so they can send the content to you:
- jsDelivr and unpkg, for the date picker and the map.
- Esri, for the map showing where we're based.
- Cloudflare, which hosts the website and protects it from attacks.
- Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that quote requests come from a person, not a spam bot.
- Google, whose reviews box shows our Google reviews. It only loads when you scroll down to the reviews, and Google's privacy policy applies to it.
None of these set tracking or advertising cookies through our site.
We never sell your data.
Our Job Manager app
Our staff use our own Job Manager app, from the Microsoft Store, to prepare your quote, invoices and hire agreement and to keep track of your booking. It keeps your booking details, the documents we send you and a record of the emails we send, so we can always check what was sent and when.
- Where it's kept: on our account with Cloudflare, which runs the app's server. Our staff's laptops keep copies of a booking's documents while they work on it, and remove them when they sign out.
- Staff sign-in: staff sign in with a code sent to our business email. We record each sign-in (the time, the laptop's name and its IP address) to keep your details safe.
- Anyone else who installs the app only sees information about our kitchen pods and a link to this website. The app doesn't collect any personal details from them.
Transfers outside the UK
Some providers may handle data outside the UK. When they do, we rely on proper safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses or UK adequacy decisions.
How long we keep it
Only as long as we need to: usually the length of your hire, plus a sensible period for questions, accounts and legal reasons. The cookie message setting stays until you clear it in your browser.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:
- See, correct or delete your data.
- Limit or stop certain uses of it.
- Send your data to you or someone else.
Email us to use any of these rights. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies and local storage
We don't use any tracking, analytics or advertising cookies. We store just one setting in your browser so the cookie message doesn't keep appearing. This is strictly necessary for the site, so the law doesn't require us to ask for consent.
| Name | Type | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|

Local storage | Remembers that you've seen the cookie message, so it isn't shown again. | Until you clear your browser data |
If we ever add analytics or other optional cookies, we'll update this page and ask for your consent before setting them. You can clear cookies and site data in your browser settings at any time.
Security
We take sensible steps to protect your data. No system is 100% secure, but we work hard to prevent loss or misuse.
Children
Our service is for adults. If you think a child has sent us personal data, let us know and we'll deal with it.
